R&D 100 Award
For joint development of the LI-7700 Open Path Methane Monitor, Southwest Sciences and our partner LI-COR Biosciences were awarded an R&D100 award in 2010.
Atmospheric Science
Three SBIR Phase I grants were awarded to Southwest Sciences by the Department of Energy. Specialized instruments will be developed for detecting methane, nitric acid, and carbon isotopes.
Magnetometry
Southwest Sciences is developing magnetometers for airborne submarine detection and research applications.
Breath Diagnostics
Hydrogen sulfide in breath can be an important indicator of gastrointestinal illness. NIH is funding development of a rapid diagnostic for H2S in exhaled breath.
